The Austin A-L864 LED Medium Intensity Beacon

The A-L864 LED Medium Intensity Beacon is an economical alternative to incandescent lighting for towers or masts. Rugged construction, low power consumption, RF shielding and long life make this the ideal choice for marking antennas and masts.

The A-L864 utilizes solid construction and a robust power supply to provide multiple levels of shielding and filtering. This makes the unit very resistant to damage from RF fields, lightning hits, or voltage spikes. Austin’s engineering team have used their unique understanding of RF design to build a light that is specifically suited for the most demanding applications.

Austin’s A-L864 has redundant LED elements, so light output is maintained even in the unlikely event of multiple LED failures. It is also compatible with existing load-monitoring fault alarm systems.

The A-L864 features a switchable internal flasher circuit. When the flasher is enabled the beacon may be operated as an independent unit without the need for further accessories. It is also compatible with existing photocell controls.

The Austin A-L810 LED Obstruction Light

The A-L810 LED Obstruction Light is an economical alternative to incandescent lighting for towers or masts.   Rugged construction, low power consumption and long life make this ideal for structures requiring a Low-Intensity type A or B light.   (ICAO Annex 14 Regulations).

The A-L810 utilizes a regulated power supply to maintain consistent photometric output under a wide range of operating conditions.   As a result the light is highly resistant to voltage swings, brown-outs, surges and spikes.   The unique power supply design also make the A-L810 perfectly suited for applications where intense RF fields may be encountered.

The A-L810 has redundant LED elements, so light output is maintained at required levels, even in the unlikely event of multiple LED failures.

Austin’s A-L810 may be operated as an independent unit, or be installed as part of a complete set of beacons and side-lights.   When used with Austin’s A-LCA1 photocell & control panel, the tower operator will receive an alarm signal if a fault occurs in the light or tower wiring.   The A-L810 is also compatible with existing photocell controls.

  • Input Voltage: Nominal 115/230 volts at 50/60 Hz. Specify requirement when ordering.
